PODCASTING, ANYONE?

In perusing the articles, I'm convinced, quite simply, classroom podcasting is just an exceptional concept! Just imagine the healthy and competitive environment it would foster.

However, realistically, in this current and awful economic down-turn, how many of our schools have the necessary funding to support such an initiative?

  1. maybe given the economic state, you would see more schools looking to utilize this technology ? Instead of bringing in outside resources, this technology is really a click away.

  2. Ron,

You really only need a microphone and a computer with Internet access to podcast. It *can* be done.

    Where there's a will, there's a way! haha

    Thanks for posting!

  3. I worry that this could take away from the importance of the classroom. Students may not see the value of the lecture when they can just go home and listen again. I guess I am also making an argument for the idea, anything missed could just be listened to again, I think some research would be needed in order to really gauge the effectiveness.

  4. I really like the idea of podcasting! At first, I had no idea what it was. But reading further I found out that it is inexpensive and can strengthen students writing, reading and listening skills. I'm very interested in implementing it in my classroom.
